Abstract
Formaldehid je prisoten povsod v našem okolju. Emisija formaldehida iz lesnih plošč je primarno posledica rabe lepil na osnovi formaldehida. Na samo emisijo formaldehida lahko vplivajo tudi morfološke značilnosti gradnika v plošči. Raziskovali smo vpliv velikosti iverja v iverni plošči na vsebnost prostega formaldehida. Iz lesa smreke (Picea abies L.) smo naredili 3 iverne plošče iz različnih velikosti iveri, za lepljenje pa smo uporabili melamin-urea-formaldehidno lepilo. Emisijo formaldehida smo določili po steklenični metodi (SIST EN 717-3). Vsebnost prostega formaldehida v iverni plošči se z uporabo različnih velikosti iverja spreminja. Ugotovili smo, da je emisija največja pri uporabi najmanjših gradnikov.

Title:Influence of particle size in particle board on emission of free formaldehyde
Abstract:
Formaldehyde is present every where in our environment. Formaldehyde emission from wood based panels is mainly due to use of formaldehyde based adhesives. Formaldehyde emission is also influenced by morphological characteristics of constituents in panels. Influence of size of constituents (particles) on emission of formaldehyde was investigated. Three particle boards from spruce wood (Picea abies L.) with different particles sizes were made in laboratory conditions. For bonding melamine-urea-formaldehyde adhesive was used. Formaldehyde emission was determined by flask method (SIST EN 717-3). The highest emission was determined when smaller particles were used.
