Abstract
Leto in pol smo opravljali meritve vlažnosti lesa, temperature, sončnega obsevanja, zadrževanja kondenza na površini lesa in vremenskih pogojev. Večkrat letno smo ocenjevali pomodrelost fasadnih elementov.

Title:Correlation between moisture content of softwood species and blue-staining on the facade of a model object
Abstract:
Importance of wood as building material is increasing again. Thus more and more wooden facades can be seen, decorating all types of buildings nowadays. Wooden facades are suitable for residential houses as well as larger public and business-residential buildings, since they protect their basic construction from environmental effects, and at the same time they are an important element of design and aesthetics. Wood used for wooden facade belongs to severely exposed surface. The quality of wooden facade is defined by the right choice of a wood species, precise instalment and professional execution of details. The proper installation is essential for the permanence of wooden facade. There is no reason to worry about the performance of wooden facade if principles of constructional protection, and the fact that wooden facade needs to be ventilated, are considered. Nevertheless, the fact that wooden facade is highly exposed to photo degradation, and even more to blue stain fungus activity, should not be overlooked. We monitored a wooden facade on a model house located in the garden of Department of Wood Science and Technology at Biotechnical Faculty. We have been measuring the numerous parameters for one and a half year. We evaluated to which degree the facade elements blue stained multiple times a year. Correlating the moisture and exposure of spruce, larch and pine wood elements we established that pine heartwood proved to be the most effective, followed by spruce wood, then pine sapwood; while larch wood performed the worst
