MOŽNOSTI RAZVOJA LOGISTIČNEGA CENTRA V KOPRU

V magistrskem delu je predstavljen mogoč razvoj Kopra in Luke Koper v sodoben logistični center v tem delu Evrope. To bo podlaga za nadaljnji razvoj Luke Koper kot logistično-distributivnega centra za srednjo in vzhodno Evropo. Izhajali smo iz dejstva, da mora management logistike dobro poznati finančne učinke logistike in njenih storitev. Vedenje o različnih vrstah transporta in poznavanje njihovih prednosti in pomanjkljivosti prav tako pomembno prispevata h konkurenčnosti poslovnih odločitev. Lokacija logističnega centra je analizirana z geografskega, demografskega, gospodarskega in transportno-logističnega vidika. Prikazana je SWOT-analiza dejavnikov razvoja tovrstnega centra v Kopru, izvedena je primerjalna analiza Cargo Centra Graz ter prikazane so možnosti medsebojnega sodelovanja logističnih centrov v Gradcu in Kopru. Na podlagi analize pokazateljev in kriterijev za vzpostavitev logističnega centra se je izkazalo, da je tovrsten razvoj smiseln in da bi to imelo pozitivne učinke tako na mesto Koper, na južno primorsko regijo kot na Luko Koper. Ob tem bo treba spremljati razvoj okoliških logističnih centrov, pri čemer posebej izpostavljamo logistični center v Gradcu v Avstriji. Izpostavili smo vse vidike, katerim bo treba pri razvoju Kopra in Luke Koper v sodobni logistični center nameniti pozornost.

• Title: OPPORTUNITIES OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE LOGISTIC CENTER IN KOPER

Abstract

The master's thesis presents the possible development of the town Koper and the Port of Koper into a modern logistics center in this part of Europe. This serves as the basis for the further development of the Port of Koper as a logistics and distribution center for Central and Eastern Europe. The thesis is based on the fact that the logistics management should be well aware of the financial effects of logistics and its services while knowledge on different types of transport, their advantages and disadvantages is equally as important for the competitiveness of business decisions. The location of the logistics center is analyzed from the geographic, demographic, economic and transport-logistics point of view. Master's thesis also presents the SWOT analysis of the factors of development of the logistics center in Koper, a comparative analysis of the Cargo Center Graz and the possibilities for cooperation between logistics centers in Graz and Koper. On the basis of the analysis of the indicators and criteria for the establishment of a logistics center, this kind of a development has proved to be meaningful and would have positive effects on the town of Koper, the southern region of Primorska as well as the Port of Koper. However it will be necessary to monitor the development of the surrounding logistics centers, with particular emphasis on the logistics center in Graz, Austria. All the aspects that will need to be followed in the development of the town Koper and the Port of Koper into a modern logistics center were highlighted.
