Abstract
Manjše dele ozemlja sta si prisvojili Madžarska in NDH.

Title:
Polhov Gradec Dolomites between Italian and German occupation
Abstract:
In the beginning, the Master’s thesis will explore the political situation and movement following the April War and the occupation of Yugoslav and Slovenian territory. After the attack on Yugoslavia, on the 6th April 1941, the occupiers took over the whole territory and divided it amongst themselves based on Hitler’s plan. The Slovenian territory was also divided by the occupiers from 1941–1943. The most prominent occupiers were Germany and Italy, having most of the territory. The smaller parts were occupied by Hungary and NDH. The German – Italian boundary line stretched from the Rapallo border to Žiri, through the Polhov Gradec Dolomites and further on past Ljubljana towards Dolenjska, until it reached the Croatian border. The border had a huge impact on the people’s lives. The present work touches this border – the border from Polhov Gradec Dolomites all the way to Ljubljana. The border will be shown in three parts with the help from historical sources and the remnants on the terrain as well as personal testimonies – memories of people, who lived through it all as children.
