Rapid technological developments have enabled the transformation of simple websites into complex web applications which are replacing classical computer programs. Compared with classic computer programs, web applications do not need to be installed, which make them more accessible and easier to use. New approaches toward web development have been utilised to manage increasing complexity. Researchers are already exploiting accessible web application for preforming quick t-test calculations. T-test is frequently used statistical test which determines whether sample statistics are significantly different. This thesis explores existing online t-test calculators and describes modern web development techniques. These techniques will also be pragmatically used in building an open source web application for t-test calculation. The quality of the final application will be empirically tested with usability tests. The application is accessible at www.t-test.si.
