The graduation thesis addresses the issue of the Macedonian national question through the presidential agreement, which was expected to solve the key issue between the Republic of Macedonia and the Hellenic Republic The name dispute between the Hellenic Republic and the Republic of Macedonia covers a number of issues, mostly related to the name Macedonia, the ethnic origin of the population living in that country, as well as the weakening of the language it uses. The escalation of the dispute has spread to such an extent that international mediators at the highest level have been involved in resolving it. The main issue in this diploma thesis is that with the signing of this agreement, the history of the Macedonian nation and the entire cultural heritage have came into debate. The Prespa Agreement has resulted in polarized public opinion on its significance for Macedonian history. As the source of the whole conflict is Greek non-recognition of Macedonian history, namely Greece recognized only Macedonian history from the 7th century onwards with the argument that the time before this period is part of Greek history. The issue of Macedonian national identity constantly arises throughout the diploma thesis, because the signing of the Prespa Agreement confirms the rejection of national identity.
