Abstract
Uvod: Težek delavnik, moralne stiske, težki medsebojni odnosi, pritisk nadrejenih in pacientovih bližnjih vplivajo na slabo počutje, kronični stres in anksioznost zdravstvenih delavcev. Joga ščiti pred negativnimi stanji uma in telesa. Namenjena je uvidu globoko vase ter spremembi na fizični in mentalni ravni, zaradi česar je doživljanje sveta veliko lahkotnejše in prijetnejše. Namen: Namen diplomskega dela je ugotoviti, v kolikšni meri joga pripomore k manjšemu doživljanju stresa in boljšemu zadovoljstvu z življenjem zdravstvenih delavcih. Metode dela: V oktobru 2019 je bilo izvedeno iskanje literature s pomočjo podatkovnih baz Google scholar, PubMed in digitalnega arhiva Obzornika zdravstvene nege. Sedem člankov je ustrezalo vključitvenim kriterijem. Raziskave so vsebovale različna merilna orodja, zato so podatki predstavljeni opisno. Rezultati: Rezultati pregledanih študij kažejo, da obstajajo dokazi, da vadba joge zmanjšuje doživljanje stresa. Prav tako obstajajo dokazi, da je joga povezana z izboljšanjem doživljanja fizičnega zdravja, spalnih vzorcev, medosebnih odnosov in splošnega mentalnega zdravja pri zdravstvenih delavcih. Obstaja verjetnost, da joga pomaga izboljšati odpornost na stres, a bi za to bile potrebne dodatne študije. Razprava in zaključek: Smiselno bi bilo vlagati v nadaljnje raziskovanje, ki bi omogočilo oceno, ali zdravstveni delavci prostovoljno sprejemajo jogo kot metodo za doživljanje manjše stopnje stresa kljub napornemu delovnemu času. Poiskati bi bilo treba tudi ustrezne programe, ki bi vsakemu zagotovili tisto, kar potrebuje za boljše počutje.

Title:The role of yoga in reducing stress and impact on quality of life in health workers : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: Hard work, moral distress, difficult relationships, pressure from superiors and patient's relatives have affect on well-being, perceived chronic stress and anxiety of healthcare professionals. Yoga is shown to protect negative states of mind and body. It helps deepen the insight and change physical, mental and emotional level, making the experience of the world much easier and more enjoyable. Purpose: The purpose of this diploma thesis is to determine if yoga contributes to a lower stress levels and improves life satisfaction for health professionals. Methods: A literature search was conducted in October 2019 using the Google Scholar databases, PubMed, and the digital archive of Obzornik zdravstvene nege. Seven articles met the inclusion criteria. The surveys contained different measuring tools, so the data are presented in a descriptive way. Results: The results show that there is evidence that practicing yoga reduces stress. There is also evidence that yoga is associated with improving the experience of physical health, sleeping patterns, interpersonal relationships, and overall mental health in healthcare professionals. Yoga is likely to help improve stress resistance, but more research is needed. Discussion and conclusion: There is a need for further research to evaluate whether the medical staff would voluntarily accept yoga as a method for decrasing stress levels despite their long work hours and determine appropriate programs to provide each individual with what they need the most for their well-being.
