Abstract
Magistrsko delo obravnava vodenje in uporabo tehnologij BIM na primeru energetskega objekta, ki služi kot objekt za varnostno nadgradnjo obstoječega energetskega kompleksa v primeru pojava izrednega dogodka. V prvem delu so predstavljena ključna področja in definicije v povezavi s pristopom BIM ter povzete vsebine openBIM standardov. V nadaljevanju je obravnavana implementacija pristopa BIM v podjetje in vidiki vodenja uporabe tehnologij BIM na projektu z vidika komunikacije in izmenjave podatkov, poimenovanja modelov, strukturami modelov in njihovega razvoja tekom projekta ter zagotavljanja kakovosti. V drugem, glavnem delu je izdelan načrt rabe tehnologij BIM na primeru načrtovanega energetskega objekta. Identificirani so cilji uporabe tehnologij BIM in načini za njihovo doseganje. Navedene so smernice za modeliranje in razloženo je upravljanje z informacijami z uporabo atributnih tabel. Opisana je izdelava posameznih modelov s področja arhitekture, gradbenih konstrukcij in inštalacij. Ob tem je na primeru prikazana tudi raba orodja Dynamo za avtomatizacijo ponavljajočih se opravil. Modeli so izdelani v programskem orodju Autodesk Revit. V zaključku drugega dela je prikazano upravljanje z atributi elementov modelov, demonstriran koncept zagotavljanja kakovosti z izvajanjem kontrole kolizij in izdelava popisov količin. V zadnjem delu je demonstrirana uporaba tehnologij BIM pri izvedbi in uporabi obravnavanega energetskega objekta. Na osnovi terminskega plana in 3D modela sta izdelana 4D model in simulacija gradnje. Demonstrirani sta vključitev dokumentacije v model BIM in izdelava tabel za potrebe upravljanja in vzdrževanja objekta, po vzoru tabel COBie. Na koncu zaključujemo, da je potencial uporabe tehnologij BIM na področju energetike zelo velik skozi celotni življenjski cikel objekta, vendar pa sta za njihovo učinkovito rabo potrebna celostni pristop in premišljeno načrtovanje.

Title:Management and use of BIM technologies on an example of a power plant facility : master thesis
Abstract:
The master thesis deals with management and use of BIM technologies on an example of a power plant facility, which is designed as a safety upgrade for an existing power plant complex in the case of an exceptional event. In the first part, key areas and definitions regarding BIM approach are presented and the content of openBIM standards is summarized. Next, the implementation of BIM approach into design company, aspects of management of BIM technologies in relation to communication and information exchange, naming conventions, model structures and their development across project phases and quality management and control are addressed. In the second and main part of the thesis, the plan of use of BIM technologies on an example of a power plant facility is made and the main goals, along with means to achieve them, are defined. Modelling guidelines are stated and information management using attribute tables is explained. Finally, the modelling of individual architectural, structural and MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) BIM models is described. Along with that, the use of automation tool Dynamo for repetative tasks is described. The models are created in Autodesk Revit. In conclusion of the second part of the thesis, management of attributes and quality management using clash detection functionalities are demonstrated and quantity takeoffs are performed. In the last part of the thesis, the use of BIM technologies during construction and buidling's life-cycle on a given example of a power plant facility is demonstrated. Combining the project schedule and 3D model, 4D model and construction simulation are generated. Finally, different means of combining project documentation with BIM models and information exchange for facility management, similar to COBie tables, are demonstrated. It is concluded that there is a wide range of potential uses of BIM technologies in power sector across all project phases, but in order to fully utilize them, deliberate and integral approach is required.
