Abstract
Plasti starostno sodijo v zgornji karnij, natančneje v tuval.

Title:Fossil macrofauna from Carnian Amphiclina beds near Crngrob
Abstract:
In the thesis the fossil fauna of brachiopods and ammonites found in Amphiclina beds north of Crngrob near Škofja Loka is described. The fauna consists of ammonites, brachiopods, bivalves, gastropods and corals. The upper part of Amphiclina beds, from which the fossils were collected, paleographically belongs to the Slovenian Basin unit and structurally to the subunit of the Tolmin Nappe. Considering their age, the beds belong to the Late Carnian, more precise to the Tuvalian substage. The fossils from the Amphiclina beds near Crngrob were collected from aluvial deposits. Almost all specimens of ammonites and brachiopods are silicified or limonitized, which made the morphologic characteristics difficult to recognise. Altogether 11 ammonite and brachiopod species have been determined and the stratigraphic range of seven species corresponds to the prior placement of the investigated strata in the Carnian age (Julian-Tuvalian). In comparison to San Cassiano fauna, which is autochthonous, and Schernplateu beds fauna, which is parautochthonous, the Amphiclina beds fauna of Crngrob is interpreted as allochthonous. This thesis does not include the study of gastropods and bivalves, which represent the majority of fossils in the San Cassiano Formation. Therefore the taxonomic comparison of whole assemblages is not possible at this stage. The assemblages from all three mentioned localities are ammonites of the family Trachyceratidae.
