In the thesis, I have described the course of events that occur during the transportation of live animals until they reach Luka Koper’s designated terminal. During this process, a freight forwarding agent encounters many tasks and obligations, which he solves in a professional manner. Facing an inconvenience such as cargo damage or cargo loss (animal's death) may reflect financially upon animal export companies as a result of profit lost. The thesis includes technical information about livestock vehicles for road and sea transportation, technological processes that occur in the port of Luka Koper such as animal unloading, their storaging in warehouses-stalls, the process of registering a carrier upon arrival at the terminal and animal loadings on designated vessels.
