The aim of the seminar paper is to thoroughly review the transformation of industrial zones Količevo and Preserje pri Radomljah, both located in the Municipality of Domžale. The first part of the thesis represents the history and development of beforementioned industrial zones. The point of interest was to present the development of factories throughout the 20th century. The occurrence of their downfalls on one hand, or how they have managed to hold on, and how are they still doing business successfully on the other. LIP Radomlje and Induplati are two companies which did not managed to adapt. That is why their production kept decreasing either until their collapse or was reduced to company's minimum. This is how new small businesses have moved into their premises. The information about the smaller companies was retrieved through primary sources of information such as survey and fieldwork. Based on this information, we have analysed in detail the current situation. Most of all, we were interested in the number, size and activity of companies, the main location factors, and the satisfaction of company and employee leadership.
