Introduction: People with psychotic disorders often resort to social isolation. This has a direct effect on depression, psychotic symptoms and cardiovascular desease, which are a increasing announcers of mortality in people with psychotic disorders. At the same time the use of antipsychotic drugs, unhealthy lifestyle and nutrition have a negative impact on mental health. That is why it is imperative to develop nutrition interventions to achive and maintain healthy lifestyle in people with psychotic disorders. Purpose: To present the factors which effect on nutrition habits of people with psychotic disorders. To expose key problems in the field of nutrition of people with psychotic disorders. To find occupational therapy strategies through which the field of nutrition in people with psychotic disorders can be improved. To create a manual whereby people with psychotic disorders can improve their nutrition habits themselves. Methods: Used was descriptive method namely, a literature review was conducted in the field of useful and effective nutritional strategies and occupational therapy interventions in persons with psychotic disorders. The literature was obtained from COBIB. SI and DiKUL which allow access to databases PUBMED, ProQuest, ScienceDirect. Results: Key research findings have shown that dietary patterns of Mediterranean, Japanese, ketogenic and pescetarian diets have positive effects on mental health, reduce the risk of psychotic symptoms, overweight and cardiovascular disease. Occupational therapy treatments that effectively contribute to the introduction of behavioral change are useful and effective to control the symptoms of psychotic disorders, improve and/or maintain the functional efficiency, independence, safety and quality of life of people with psychotic disorders. Discussion and conclusion: Nutrition measures are urgently needed for people with psychotic disorders, because nutrition affects on occurrence of psychotic symptoms and mental health.
