Abstract
Preizkušane so bile osnovne, mehanske, površinske in optične lastnosti.

Title:Multifunctional packaging for candies
Abstract:
This thesis deals with the production of new candy packaging that will have more than one function and will be reusable for the customer. The thesis is based on finding solutions for an extended packaging lifecycle and developing new functionality in conjunction with DS Smith. The theoretical part presents the basics of packaging, the consumer view of packaging waste, the labels required on food packaging and the analysis of multifunctional packaging on the market. The experimental part covers the testing of three materials selected for packaging, namely the Belpak, Alaska and Excellent TOP cartons. Basic, mechanical, surface and optical properties were tested. The hypothesis was that Exellent TOP would be most suitable for packaging. At the end of the tests, the results were different than expected with Alaska carton having the best packaging properties. It has the best bending stiffness, bursting, folding and puncture resistance and is less wettable. The packaging has been extended with new upper functionality, a bowl, into which we can put candy. Thus, packaging not only has the function of safeguarding the production and delivery of information. The graphic design comes from the brochure packaging already in use at the Plečnik House. We used the illustration as a base and added a delicate poppy color. The packaging design was made in ArtiosCAD and the printing was carried out using the UV inject printer APEX JET UV6090 and cut on a Kongsberg X20 laser cutter.
