Abstract
Uvod: Pilonidalni sinus pogosto prizadene mlajše odrasle. Pojavi se kot kronična okužba kože v predelu zadnjice, najpogostejši vzrok so vraščene dlake. Namen: namen diplomskega dela je na teoretični ravni predstaviti in opredeliti zdravstveno nego pacienta po operaciji pilonidalnega sinusa ter vlogo medicinske sestre. Cilj diplomskega dela je predstaviti naloge medicinske sestre pred operacijo pilonidalnega sinusa in po njej, predstaviti potek dela v ambulanti, dobljene rezultate po pregledu literature predstaviti strokovni javnosti, kar bi lahko prispevalo k izboljšanju kakovosti zdravstvene nege ter omogočalo pacientom lažje razumevanje bolezni. Metode: v diplomskem delu je uporabljena deskriptivna metoda dela s pregledom in analizo domače in tuje strokovne literature. Iskanje je potekalo s pomočjo bibliografskih baz podatkov: Medline, Science Direct, pubMED, COBIB.SI, CINAHL. Opravljeno je bilo tudi ročno iskanje zbornikov in člankov, ki jih je izdal Klinični oddelek za kirurške okužbe. Iskanje je potekalo od januarja 2019 do januarja 2020. To smo omejili na literaturo, objavljeno med letom 2000 in 2020, besedilo s polnim tekstom, recenzirane članke in članke iz znanstvenih revij. Rezultati: po operaciji pilonidalnega sinusa medicinska sestra oskrbi pacienta in ga ustrezno pouči o prevezi in oskrbi rane, morebitnih zapletih po operaciji ter o jemanju protibolečinske terapije in izogibanju dejavnikom tveganja, da se stanje ne ponovi. Razprava in zaključek: ključnega pomena je razumevanje pacientove bolezni, zgodnje odkritje, poznavanje znakov in simptomov bolezni ter omogočanje pacientu z ustreznim pristopom in z zdravstveno vzgojo, da se počuti varno in sprejeto.

Title:Nursing care afer pilonidal sinus surgery : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: The pilonidal sinus most commonly affects young adults. Appears as a chronic infection of the skin in the buttock, causes are ingrown hairs. Purpose: The purpose of diploma work is to introduce role of nurse pre and after pilonidal sinus, how our procedures are done on primary and secondary level of hospital care, introduce our review of literature to experts in field, which could contribute to improvement of nursing and would also offer patients better understanding of disease. Methods: In this our thesis we used the descriptive method with review of local and foreign scientific literature. The search was conducted using bibliographic databases of Medline, Science Direct, PubMED, COBIB.SI, CINAHL. We also conducted a manual search of the proceedings and articles published by the Clinical Section for Surgical Infections department. We set the search limitations of literature published between 2000 and 2019, another limitation was full text articles, peer-reviewed journal articles. Results: After pilonidal sinus surgery nursing care must prepare patient how to properly wrap and take care of the surgery wound, possible side effects of operation, how to take painkillers and how to avoid factors of risk so the condition doesn’t reoccur. Discussion and conclusion: Key element is understanding of the disease, early recognition of the disease in terms of symptoms. Patient must be given confidentiality, acceptance with proper approach and health education.
