Introduction: The incidence of psychiatric violence in nursing is very high and increasing. Poor organization and poor working conditions are the cause of the incidence and spread of mental violence among healthcare professionals. Purpose: The purpose of this diploma thesis is to show the impact of conflicts on the incidence of psychological violence among nursing staff. Methods: The diploma thesis is based on the descriptive method of literature review. The search for literature was conducted between June and August 2019 in databases such as the Croatian Science and Technology Portal Hrčak and Google Scholar, where we used the following keywords: violence, conflict, mobbing, psychological violence, stress, communication. Results: Out of the 33 units of literature used to produce the thesis, 10 units of literature were included in the results presented in the tables. The results were discussed in the discussion. Discussion and conclusion: Preventing psychological violence and providing assistance in resolving conflicts is of paramount importance for the quality of health care and the good functioning of the organization itself and is the responsibility of management. Psychiatric violence is often in nursing, where health workers are overloaded, stressed and pressured by management over higher productivity, better work organization and lower costs, which is difficult to achieve due to lack of workers, poor working conditions and pay for healthcare professionals.
