Abstract
Fotografije so obrazložene z likovno analizo.

Title:The naked body as art through photography
Abstract:
This thesis, titled The naked body as art through photography, presents a series of studio photographs of a female nude in black and white technique, and furthermore contains a brief summary of the history of a nudity in art, focusing on the very beginnings of this form as well as presenting nudity as a part of art and not something disapproving. The purpose of this thesis is to study and display, through the medium of photography, aesthetic movement and form that a nude female body possesses and to sense and evoke in us the admiration of the natural beauty it holds. Moreover it aims to transmit a sense of skin and scent of an unknown female and in doing so express the capacity of photography to capture the senses of a person whose face and touch we are physically denied. The experimental part of the thesis displays a nude in a studio, with details and lines of a female form. Knowledge of artistic elements as well as elements of photography will enable the photographs to find their own language, possessing the qualities of a good photography. In the thesis we will pursue the discovery of artistic elements, composition and framing, as well as acknowledge and include the function of depth guides, the role of sharpness and blur, and to understand and use the light as one of the main factors of photography. All the photographs are accompanied with a visual/artistic analysis. The goal of the thesis is to, by the end of photo shoot and with the accumulated understanding of the artistic elements, portray a photograph in a manner of an artistic vision and so distinguish an aesthetically attractive photography from an erotically provocative one, thus portraying a nude as something natural and beautiful, without human spurn, and a nude body as art through photography.
