The purpose of this thesis was to determine ergonomic adjustment of the agricultural tractor for work in the forest. By using the Swedish ergonomic guidelines for forestry machines, two Zetor tractors of different years were compared. It was established that the tractors do not meet the requirements related to exposure of workers to vibration. Moreover, both of them have inadequate fire protection and equipment for turning off the machine and also lack warning signs in case of an accident outside the cab. The older tractor falls short of the illumination of workspace. The studied tractors at their current state and the way they are used are not suitable for professional or occasional work in the forest. However, they could be adapted for safe and employee-friendly use by taking organizational measures, introducing new accessories and replacing existing equipment. The comparison of ergonomic profiles of both tractors shows that ergonomic suitability of tractors is improving owing to technological development.
