The thesis analyzed the impact of meso-relief on browsing of seedlings by large herbivores. Herbivore hoofed game is a natural part of the forest ecosystem. Because of herbivorous ungulates that feed on plant parts are consequently damaged also young trees. We studied the browsing damage on the total of two hundred and thirty eight plots at the location site in GGE Mirna gora. The highest level of browsing damage was measured at the ridges of 100 % and 82 % in sinkholes with sunny part of sinkholes, in the plateau 79 %, the lowest level of browsing damage vas measured on slope and on flat 70 %. Most heavily damaged species was sycamore maple. Most individuals of any seedlings together were damaged within the height class 21 to 50 cm (76%). We found statistical association between rockyness and damaged seedlings. By the increasing rockyness the damage rate of all tree species increased. By increasing the distance to cover (seedlings to 5 m height) is the damage rate of fir decreased.
