Zgradba in razvoj gozdnih rezervatov Tolsti in Šentjoški vrh : diplomsko delo - visokošolski strokovni študij - 1. stopnja

Namen raziskovalne naloge je bil ponovno analizirati sestoje v gozdnih rezervatih Tolsti in Šentjoški vrh, vključno s popisom mladja za proučevanje smeri razvoja gozda. Rezervata se nahajata v Zgornji Savinjski dolini na planoti Krašica. Terenska dela so potekala jeseni 2015. Drevesa v rezervatih smo ponovno premerili po stalnih ploskvah postavljenih ob prvih meritvah. Popis mladja smo v Šentjoškem vrhu opravili na 23-ih ploskvah, v Tolstem vrhu pa na 22-ih ploskvah velikosti 5 x 5 m. Beležili smo tudi prekritost tal z zelišči, skalami in krošnjami dreves. V obeh rezervatih je v vrstni sestavi z več kot 50 % prevladovala bukev. Z leti je rahlo narasel delež iglavcev in plemenitih listavcev v zmesi. Gostota sestoja izraziteje narašča v Šentjoškem vrhu, kjer smo zabeležili najvišji delež vraslih dreves. Večjo raznolikost vrst pa smo ocenili v Tolstem vrhu. V obeh rezervatih so se največje gostote dreves nahajale v nižjih debelinskih stopnjah. Kot pričakovano, se je z leti lesna zaloga rezervatov povečala. V Tolstem ta meri 562 m3/ha, v Šentjoškem pa 582 m3/ha. Največje gostote mladja smo zabeležili v Šentjoškem vrhu (3270 dreves na ha). Poleg bukve so med mladjem v Šentjoškem vrhu dobro zastopani iglavci (29 %), v Tolstem pa plemeniti listavci (30 %). Rezultati so pokazali, da z zastrtostjo tal z zeliščno vegetacijo gostota mladja upada.

• Title: Structure and development of forest reserves Tolsti and Šentjoški vrh

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to re-analyze stands in forest reserves Tolsti and Šentjoški vrh. We included an inventory of saplings for the study of forest trends. Reserves are located in Zgornja Savinjska dolina on plateau Krašica. The fieldwork took place in autumn 2015. On the permanent plots that were positioned at the first inventory we measured diameters of all trees. Saplings were counted on 23 plots in Šentjoški vrh and 22 plots in Tolsti vrh. The plot size was 5 x 5 m. We also recorded ground coverage of herbs, rocks, and tree crowns. Beech dominated with more than 50% in number in both reserves. Over the years the density of conifers and deciduous trees slightly increased. The increase was larger in Šentjoški vrh, where we recorded higher share of in-grown trees. Greater tree species diversity was measured in Tolsti vrh. In both reserves the highest density was found in lower dbh classes. As expected, the growing stock in reserves increased. In Tolsti vrh we recorded 562 m3/ha and in Šentjoški vrh 582 m3/ha. The highest density of saplings was recorded in Šentjoški vrh (3270 trees per ha). Beside beech, conifers were also well represented (29%). Deciduous trees were better represented in Tolsti vrh (30%). The results indicated negative association between the density of saplings and ground coverage with herbal vegetation.
