Abstract
Primerjavo smo naredili med naseljema Fuţine in Nove Jarše. Drevesom smo popisovali naslednje znake: tip drevesa, vrsto, obseg, višino, poškodbe, vitalnost, potrebne ukrepe in nujnost izvedbe. Skupno smo popisali 3.214 dreves.

Title:Urban trees in residential areas of Fužine and Nove Jarše
Abstract:
The aim of this research was to analyse the tree survey of public spaces and to assess the conditions of trees in residential areas on the outskirts of the city of Ljubljana. We comapared two residential areas, the neighborhood of Fuţine and Nove Jarše. We analysed the following tree characteristics: tree type, tree species, circumference, height, tree injuries, tree vitality, the necessary measures and their urgency. In total we have surveyed 3.214 trees. The most common tree genus in both neighborhoods is the maple tree (Acer ), and the most common tree species is the Norway maple (Acer platanoides). In the council of Nove Jarše the number of coniferous trees is higher than in the council of Fuţine. Most trees in both neighborhoods is in the height category between 5 to 10 m. In both neighborhoods the highest proportion of trees is with a circumference between 61 to 90 cm, and it accounts for 30 %, while the proportion of trees with the circumference above 120 cm is the lowest. In both neighborhoods, the proportion of injured trees is relatively low. In addition, in Fuţine, there are more injuries of the tree trunk, including the base of the tree, and in Nove Jarše, the proportion of the tree canopy damage is nearly double compared to Fuţine, which accounts for a third of all trees in Nove Jarše. Furthermore, in Fuţine, 87.5 % of trees appear to have good vitality, however the percentage of trees showing characteristics of good vitality in Nove Jarše is 66.46 %, which is significantly lower and that is due to the practise of beheading trees. In conclusion, the results show that most trees of the surveyed area on the outskirts of the centre of Ljubljana are in good condition.
