Abstract
Diplomsko delo se ukvarja s prihodom in začetkom salezijanskega poslanstva v župniji Mužlja. Časovno sega v leto 1965, ko so prvi slovenski salezijanci prišli v to madžarsko naseljeno predmestje Zrenjanina.

Title:The beginning of the Salesian mission in Mužla
Abstract:
The Bachelor’s Thesis discusses the arrival and beginning of the Salesian mission in the Mužlja parish, dating back to 1965, when Slovenian Salesians arrived to the suburb, inhabited by Hungarians. They could not have foreseen that they would be received with great opposition from the local population who felt that the Salesians were planning on introducing Slavic customs. To the locals’ great surprise, however, the Salesians spoke Hungarian and showed them that their mission was to work with youth. Subsequently, they were accepted by the local population in a short period of time and now form an integral part of the community. The Bachelor's Thesis presents the first twenty years of the Salesians’ work in the parish. It contains a short chronological description of the history of the village, parish and church buildings, whereas the majority of the text discusses the arrival, commencement of work, introduction of Salesian spirituality and presentation of the first Salesians who had to strive hard to pioneer their work in this Hungarian area.
