In the master's thesis we explored the influence that movies and television series based on a bestselling book have on the holistic appearance of brands. The research was mostly based on the developments on the Slovenian book market and shows the reciprocal effects of branding for books as well as adaptation products. The most important question the thesis wanted answered was whether, in the publishing world, it pays off to invest in translation of bestselling literature to Slovene, when adaptations of it was made for the screen as well. The case studies were chosen based on examples of such literature in the last five years.
