Due to increasing complexity of products, existing technologies aren't always sufficient to produce quality parts. Fine blanking is a technology to produce parts in tight dimensional tolerance fields. In order to produce fine blanked parts, special triple action presses are required. Goal if diploma work was to develop a tool that would allow us to produce fine blanked parts on classic eccentric press. Work describes diffeneces between classic and fine blanking. Work includes crucial tool characteristics to produce a fine blanking tool, customized to work on classic eccentric press. Experiments were carried out on hydraulic presses. Two different materials of same thickness were used to analyze influence of cutting speed and counter force on the quality of cut surface and produced burr. We analyzed the influence of application of counter force with springs and with hydraulics. We learnt that both materials are applicable for fine blanking process, but there is a difference in quality of cut surface for different types of counter force application.
