Abstract

Title:Identification of orthotropic elastic material parameters based on flexural test
Abstract:
The main subject of this master’s thesis is the overview and comparison of the most common methods od inverse identification of material parameters. The methods observed and examined in the master’s thesis are primarily overviewed in order to choose the two that are later on the main focus of the thesis. These two methods – Finite Element Model Updating Method and Virtual Fields Method – are verified and compared based on the examination of an actual four-point flexural test. Based on the test, the thesis observes and compares the convergence and stability of the methods and tries to describe adn eliminate the difficulties that appeared during the design of the analysis. The results achieved are briefly statistically compared in the ending of the thesis.

Keywords:inverse identification, finite element method, virtual fields, flexural tests, convergence
