Hunter-gatherer societies are treated as uncomplex and simple social structures without hierarchy and without independent and/or individual social areas such as economy, politics, religion etc. It was long believed that they lacked living resources, that they suffered and lived in constant struggle. It was only after the famous symposium “Man the hunter” that the experts were interested in finding out more about hunter-gatherers and their way of life. This led the explorers to redocument their life by going “on the field” and introducing us to their new discoveries.
I would like to emphasize that the members of such societies had a high amount of personal freedom and had no social classes. In addition, had no sexual segregation or discrimination as well as no economy and production as such, however they did know trade and gifting. By examining the hunter-gatherer societies I would like to define their way of life, community arrangements, division of work and “economy”.
