Abstract
Kljub večji gospodarski in politični moči nekaterih držav, ZDA ostajajo globalni hegemon.

Title:Americanization
Abstract:
The undergraduate thesis is focusing on the proces and global spread of americanization. In the first part, on globalization, its start and influence, and on cultural globalization where I am wondering if it leads to cultural homogenzation or heterogenization of the world. I believe that the spread of american culture hasn't made the world culturally homogeneous but it remains diverse. At the second part, I am focusing on the spread of americanization, which grew even more from the 20th century on. At that time USA became a global hegemon because of its good economy during the second world war. A major part at the spread of cultural forms played the mass media, which portraied its content globally. American products because known worldwide. Especially the movie industry is the one that is known worldwide. Despite other countries having more and more economic and political power, USA remains a global hegemon.
