Abstract
Raziskovali smo lokacijo poškodbe, trajanje rehabilitacije in pogostost ponavljanja v povezavi z doživljanjem socialne opore. Prek spletnega vprašalnika smo anketirali igralce klubov 1.

Title:Handball player injuries - frequency of appearance, duration and location of injury in connection with the experience of social support
Abstract:
In the thesis we focused on injuries that happen to handball players in relation to social support. We investigated the location of the injury, the duration of rehabilitation, and the frequency of recurrence in relation to experiencing social support. Through the online questionnaire we surveyed the players of the clubs of the 1st NLB Slovenian Handball League who played in it in the 2018/19 season. For the analysis we used the statistic package SPSS. Respondents play in all positions, the most on the left back, the highest level of playing of most is the national championship, where most of them play already for 4-10 seasons, mostly more than 30 minutes per game. The basic purpose of the work was to determine how individuals experience Social support during injury, to compare the results with already known research and to identify guidelines for improving injury prevention, and to take appropriate action when an injury occurs. We found that, in the case of handball players, the most common injuries are sprains, the most serious injuries being in terms of the length of rehabilitation and the frequency of recurrence of knee ligament damage. We also found that knee or knee injury is not affected by the terms of duration of player’s career to the time of the injury and that during the injury most players feel bad because they cannot help the team. The basic social support in the time after the injury by the club is the club physiotherapist, otherwise the players most of all seek the support of the family, ie parents or partner.
