The thesis focuses on the issue of homelessness of young people in Slovenia. In the theoretical part, the basic concepts are defined and the social context which is at the source of youth homelessness in Slovenia. This is followed by a description of successful programs and projects from abroad which aim to prevent youth homelessness or help young people who experience it.
The empirical part is examining life pathways of young homeless people and their survival strategies. An additional aim of the study is to check whether programs or adjustments of existing programs for young and homeless people in Slovenia exist.
The work offers an insight into the situation of the homeless young people and provides guidelines, suggestions and recommendations for developing the practices of social pedagogy in this field.
