Abstract
Izhodišče magistrske naloge je interakcija risarskih in kolažnih strategij v pripravi grafičnega lista. Tradicionalne grafične tehnike same narekujejo dolgotrajen proces ustvarjanja, zahtevajo jasno likovno artikulacijo ter upočasnjujejo iskanje novih rešitev in spreminjanje celote. Tekom magistrskega študija sem skozi ustvarjalno delo začela raziskovati nove oblike stika z realnostjo in nove oblike artikulacije realnosti.

Title:Impact of collage and drawing on the articulation of the graphic sheet / Impact of collage and drawing on the articulation of the graphic sheet
Abstract:
The starting point of my master's thesis is the interaction of drawing and collage strategies in the preparation of graphic prints. Traditional graphic techniques themselves dictate a lengthy creation process, they require clear artistic articulation, and they slow us down when we want to find new solutions or make a change in the whole product. Through my creative work related to my study I began exploring new forms of contact with reality and new forms of articulation of reality. From what I have seen and from what already exists I create a new space in my works that remains in dialogue with the real one. In search of strategies that would facilitate my artistic articulation, I developed a preparatory drawing for graphics by combining individual drawing and collage solutions. During the creation process, this drawing allows me to study details and record impressions with sketches, while the collage, on the other hand, allows me to quickly make changes in space, redefine the situation, add motifs and apply colours. Drawings and collages are crucial in the preparation of my prints, and they are also present in the later stages of graphic articulation. In my master's thesis I presented the phenomenon of collage, its historical development and the artistic potentials it enables. I also discussed drawing and its modalities, with an emphasis on preparatory drawing for graphics, and presented the role and importance of drawing in my creative process. I paid special attention to the exploration of the interactions of drawing and collage on my graphic articulation, from the initial sketch and the intermediate stages to the final result. In this process I was also asking myself when it is the right time to stop making changes and bring my artwork to a conclusion.
