Abstract
Gradbeništvo kot industrija vse bolj podpira okolju prijazne oz. trajnostne metode gradnje, ki vodijo do vse večje uporabe edinega široko uporabljenega gradbenega materiala, ki je resnično obnovljiv – lesa oz. lesnih izdelkov. V diplomski nalogi obravnavamo uporabo križno lepljenih plošč oz. CLT pri večetažnih lesenih objektih, s poudarkom na njihovem obnašanju oz. problematiko vlažnosti v času gradnje, ki lahko kratkoročno in dolgoročno vpliva na trajnost konstrukcije. Križno lepljen les kot biorazgradljiv material ima specifične značilnosti, ki so povezane z občutljivostjo na vlago. Značilnosti ne vplivajo samo na fizikalne in mehanske lastnosti, ampak lahko povzročajo tudi težave, ki so povezane s trajnostjo, kot so biološki napadi, razbarvanje in propadanje elementov. Pri gradnji večjih oz. višjih lesenih stavb vsekakor predstavlja ta problem en izmed najzahtevnejših izzivov celotnega projekta. Za namen diplomske naloge so bili raziskani in predstavljeni: metode za meritev vsebnosti vlage v lesu, nekatera načela varovanja pred vlago in smernice, ki temeljijo na ugotovitvah iz pregleda literature ter opazovanjih na tekočem projektu. Diplomska naloga analizira vpliv izpostavljenosti okolju in nihanja vsebnosti vlage v elemntih, v daljšem času gradnje brez uporabe popolne zaščite oz. začasne strehe ali zaščitnih odrov. Analiza je narejena na podlagi ročnega merjenja vlažnosti in opazovanja križno lepljenih elementov na tekočem projektu na Norveškem. Izmerjene in zbrane podatke, in sicer: vremenske informacije in meritve vlažnosti opazovanih elementov, so ocenjene ter primerjane z znano varno mejo vlažnosti v času gradnje. Na podlagi izvedene analize so podana priporočila za gradnjo brez popolne zaščite, ugotavljali pa smo še ali je pri vseh nadaljnih projektih in podnebjih taka gradnja izvedljiva.

Title:Moisture during construction of multistorey timber buildings with cross laminated timber : graduation thesis
Abstract:
The pursuit for sustainable, environmentally friendly and climate-neutral methods of constructing leads to an increasing acceptance of a material: wood, our only widely used building material that is truly renewably, and therefore also sustainable. In addition, the only building material that is carbon negative is timber, and the construction products made from it, such as cross laminated timber or CLT, which will be the main-focus of this thesis. Due to the hygroscopic nature of wood, cross laminated timber panels and other mass timber elements are facing various risks while construction - from volumetric changes and moulds or fungus to structural damage. With the new chapter of mid and high-rise timber buildings, the construction moisture safety risks are more emphasized. For this reason, a series of standardised on-site moisture safety activities must be carried out. To be more precise, the thesis analyses the influence of environmental exposure and fluctuation of moisture while longer construction time without the use of a temporary roof or scaffolding protection, primarily by surveying cross laminated elements on an ongoing project in Norway. The measured and collected data, namely the weather info and moisture measurements are evaluated and compared with the known upper safe moisture limit. With that in mind, future aspects and recommendations for building without the traditional roof protection are provided. Lastly, it is determined, if longer cross laminated timber construction without temporary protection and damage should be considered possible for all future projects and climates.
