The diploma thesis describes the design of the coal seam excavation at the Velenje Coal Mine. The starting points required by the Mining Act (ZRud-1-UPB3), which is the legal and professional basis for the preparation of the mining project, are listed and described. The aforementioned Act also states, among other things, the conditions that must be met by a natural and legal person when designing a project.
For each mining project, we also have to follow the requirements laid down in the internal rules of the Velenje Coal Mine regarding the method of production, sequence of works, content and audit of the mining project. In accordance with these rules, each mining project is divided into three parts, namely the general part, the technical part and the economic part. The policy sets out and specifies the content of the mining project and the audit process.
The content of a mining project must be in accordance with the requirements laid down in the Rules of Procedure for the Design and Review of Mining Projects, Licensing and Supporting Documents.
In my thesis I elaborated the technical part of the mining project, which includes the description of the design of the preparation sites, the technology of excavation at the excavation, ventilation of the preparation sites and floors, transportation of materials and coal, safety regulations, defense and rescue plan, geomechanical part and impacts on the surface.
