Abstract

Title:Military infantry barriers CISM as the means for physical training in the Slovenian armed forces
Abstract:
The bachelor’s thesis discusses functional training by means of one’s own weight and barriers as the means for the exercise. Military infantry barriers CISM are used by the members of the Slovenian Military Representative Team for their own training as the preparation for competitions on the international level. At the same time, they are used by units stationed in the Vipava military barracks. In principle, the participants use only the classical crossing over the barriers of the infantry barriers range. Therefore, the method will be described further on how to use the range in a different manner. The work of the members of the Slovenian Armed Forces is far from easy: it is strenuous physically and psychologically. In continuation, we will put the emphasis on their physical fitness. When working, the members of the Slovenian Armed Forces have to develop different motor abilities: flexibility, strength, coordination, endurance, speed, balance, and accuracy. Military infantry barriers CISM are appropriate for daily exercises and can be used by anyone, but with adaptations. The members of the Slovenian Armed Forces who have no problems in classical crossing over the barriers of the infantry barriers range CISM can diversify their training with the competition technique of crossing over or include the use of infantry barriers, listed in continuation, in their physical training. The members of the Slovenian Armed Forces who have problems with classical crossing over the barriers already, i.e. with the standard technique of crossing over the barriers of the infantry barriers range CISM, however, can diversify their exercise by doing exercises described in continuation because in this way, they will strengthen their physical fitness and, last but not least, improve the standard technique of crossing over the barriers of the infantry barriers range CISM.
