Abstract
Svoje ocenjujoče razmerje do obravnavane problematike bralcu podaja preko komičnih etoloških književnih vrst.

Title:Humour in the novels for adults of Desa Muck
Abstract:
Master's thesis is dedicated to the analysis of humour in the novels for adults of Desa Muck, who in 2016 received the Ježek Award for her decades-long creation in the field of noble humour. The subject of the analysis are all of the author's novels for adults that she has written so far. These are: Panika (2003), Peskovnik Boga Otroka (2006) and Odred ali Kako osrečiti druge proti njihovi volji (2015). In these novels one can find character, physical, profession, situation and verbal comedy. The author skillfully uses various tools to create comic effect: caricature, irony, sarcasm and cynicism. She presents her evaluative relation to the issues of the novels through comic ethological literary types. Thus, the novel Panika can be read as a parody of a romantic novel, Peskovnik Boga Otroka as a sociocritical satire, Odred ali Kako osrečiti druge proti njihovi volji as a mixture of political satire and grotesque with a deep sociocritical message. The purpose of the novels in question is not just fun and entertainment, as laughter also hides criticism. These three of Desa Muck's novels for adults are modelled after Horace's rendition of ridendo dicere verum, which means telling the truth while laughing.
