Vpliv mišičnega utrujanja in poaktivacijske potenciacije na kontraktilne lastnosti stegenskih mišic : magistrsko delo

Abstract
Uvod: Tenziomiografija je metoda, ki omogoča neinvazivno, selektivno in enostavno ocenjevanje kontraktilnih lastnosti površinsko ležečih skeletnih mišic z visoko zanesljivostjo. V kakšni meri lahko s tenziomiografijo zaznamo spremembe v kontraktilnih lastnostih mišice po poaktivacijski potenciaciji ali utrujanju, do danes ni opisano v literaturi. Namen: Namen je bil primerjati učinke poaktivacijske potenciacije in utrujanja na tenziomiografske kontraktilne lastnosti stegenskih mišic med vzdržljivostnimi športniki in športniki moči. Metode dela: V raziskavo je bilo vključenih 21 zdravih profesionalnih ali resnih rekreativnih vzdržljivostnih športnikov in športnikov moči. Po standardiziranem ogrevanju smo preiskovancem s tenziomiografijo izmerili mirovne vrednosti za mišici vastus medialis in semitendinosus. Z izokinetičnim dinamometrom smo nato izvedli protokol utrujanja in poaktivacijske potenciacije za sprednje in zadnje stegenske mišice ter po končanem protokolu ponovno izmerili kontraktilne lastnosti obeh mišic. Primerjali smo razlike med mirovnimi vrednostmi in vrednostmi po izvedbi obeh protokolov ter razlike med vzdržljivostnimi športniki in športniki moči. Rezultati: Pri vzdržljivostnih športnikih nismo ugotovili pomembnejšega učinka poaktivacijske potenciacije in utrujanja na kontraktilne lastnosti mišic. Na protokola so se bolje odzivali športniki moči, predvsem njihova mišica vastus medialis, za katero smo pri športnikih moči ugotovili statistično pomembno krajši čas kontrakcije po poaktivacijski potenciaciji (p < 0,001) ter manjšo amplitudo odmika mišice po utrujanju (p = 0,001). Pri primerjavi med skupinama v času kontrakcije ni bilo pomembnih razlik, amplituda odmika mišice pa je bila po utrujanju v skupini športnikov moči statistično pomembno manjša (p = 0,024). Razprava in zaključek: Na protokola so se bolje odzivali športniki moči, zlasti njihova mišica vastus medialis. Dinamometrijo smo uspešno uporabili pri nadzorovanem utrujanju in poaktivacijski potenciaciji ter pri objektivni primerjavi razlik med skupinama. V primeru, da bi se tenziomiografija potrdila kot veljavna in občutljiva metoda pri ocenjevanju utrujanja in potenciacije na kontraktilne lastnosti mišic, bi lahko predstavljala pomembno orodje za načrtovanje vadbe, preprečevanje poškodb, vrednotenje rehabilitacije in nadaljnje znanstveno raziskovalno delo. Potrebne so dodatne raziskave biometričnih lastnosti tenziomiografije.

Title:The influence of muscle fatigue and postactivation potentiation on contractile properties of thigh muscles : master thesis
Abstract:
Introduction: Tensiomyography is a simple to use, selective and non-invasive method for detecting skeletal muscle contractile parameters with high reliability. It is still not known to what extent we can measure changes in contractile muscle properties after postactivation potentiation and fatigue with tensiomyography. Purpose: The purpose was to compare the effect of postactivation potentiation and fatigue on tensiomyographic contractile properties of the thigh muscles between power and endurance athletes. Methods: There were 21 healthy professional or serious recreational athletes included in our study. After standardized warm-up we measured subjects rest values with tensiomyography for vastus medialis and semitendinosus muscle. After that we used isokinetic dynamometer to perform postactivation potentiation and fatigue protocol and then measured muscle contractile properties again, for both muscles. We compared differences with rest values and values after both protocols, we also compared the difference between endurance and power athletes. Results: At endurance athletes effect of postactivation potentiation and fatigue did not change muscle contractile properties significantly. Power athletes responded better to both protocols, especially their muscle vastus medialis, for which we found that power athletes had significantly shorter contraction time after postactivation potentiation (p < 0.001) and lower maximal displacement after fatigue (p = 0.001). When comparing both groups we did not find significant differences in contraction time. But maximal displacement was significantly lower for power athletes after fatigue (p = 0.024). Discussion and conclusion: Power athletes better responded to both protocols, especially their muscle vastus medialis. We used isokinetic dynamometry successfully for controlling postactivation potentiation and fatigue and for objective comparison between groups. In case tensiomyography will prove to be a valid and sensitive tool for assessing postactivation potentiation and fatigue effect on muscle contractile properties it would be an important contribution for creating exercise plan, prevention of injuries, assessing effectiveness of rehabilitation and furher scientific research. Additional studies of tensiomyography biometric properties are needed in the future.
