The interest for human body and its expression through the appearance of the visible image which defines the human being has been an important drive for research and the major source of inspiration for many artists in the history of art. Even today, human body and its visible image are deeply connected with one’s existence which results in a lot of room for further study and research. Expansion of a variety of body images today begs the question of body image and its perception in a wider social context. The search for the means to express through the image of a body (e.g. visual appearance) could be an important drive for research. The search itself has shaped our perspective and has allowed for reflection of our work.
