Pilgrim`s route to Santiago de Compostela has become one of the most visited turists spots in Europe and in the whole world. Not only Europeans, but also habitants of other continents, are visiting it beacuse of various reasons. Motives are different: In search of adventure, wish to explore and get to know other cultures, religious motives and in search of finding one`s true self, one`s deeper meaning and purpose here on the World. Year by year, route is getting more attracitve even amongst Slovenian people, amongst youth generations as well as amongst older generations. The route itself has roots and history that goes far back to medieval times which is not known amogst the most. There is a lot of pilgrimages that travels the route, but don`t even know what is the purpose of it and what kind of history and story it contains. But nevertheless, all pilgrimages have one common goal. And that goal is to complete the route and arrive to St. Jacobs`s Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
