Abstract
Poznamo tri vrste 3D tehnologij in sicer 3D skeniranje, 3D modeliranje in 3D tiskanje. 3D tehnologije so zelo pomembne v našem vsakdanjem življenju, saj jih praktično srečujemo na vsakem koraku. Kljub temu, pa je poznavanje le teh, omejeno zgolj na preprosto rabo, medtem ko so zahtevnejše naloge le del domene zavzetejših posameznikov. Zato smo v diplomskem delu želeli to tematiko približati učiteljem tehnike in tehnologije (TiT), ki podajo vsebinsko znanje učencem v osnovni šoli (OŠ).

Title:3D technologies at technology and engineering lessons
Abstract:
In my degree we are interested in three-dimensional technologies (3D) with an emphasis on school uses. 3D technology is a technology that tries to map objects from everyday life onto the screen. There are three types of 3D technology, 3D scanning, 3D modeling and 3D printing. 3D technologies are so important in our daily lives, that we have been persuaded by them in every step of our way. However, the knowledge of these technologies was limited to normal use, but when required, tasks were only part of the domain of interest. Therefore, in the degree we wanted to bring the topic closer to Teachers of Design and Technology (D&T), which contain knowledge for students in primary schools. The theoretical part of the degree consists of a description of 3D technology (3D scanning, 3D modelling in 3D printing), an example on how to design a product for 3D printing. We make a targeted selection of user applications and support the basic two mobile 3D scanning programs. These two mobile applications are SCANN3D and Qlone. We found that we would allow a mobile software base display to show 3D scanning to scan real products to print, or we would need some additional working 3D models. For the purposes of the empirical part of the degree, a survey questionnaire was prepared in an electronic way to transmit D&T teachers to the Slovenian primary school. The questionnaire wanted to find out how many teachers knew 3D technologies in D&T lessons. We have found that quite a few teachers use 3D technologies in teaching, but there is still a lot of room for progress. The most amount of improvement can be done is in the use of 3D scanning, as teachers are of the opinion that they do not have the proper equipment to use this kind of technology. In order to highlight the situation, it is also necessary to change the mindset of those who teach and steer their opinion towards the best technologies. For the purpose of this degree, we give examples that even with simple mobile applications we will be able to show the 3D scan, so that we don't always need expensive devices to display some subject matters. This was where the findings of how students would respond to the purse were interesting, where they made a non-user 3D shot using mobile apps themselves, which was needed to further target what would be the differences in their traditional teaching.
