Abstract
V zaključni nalogi smo preučevali možnost merjenja notranjih sil in momentov v nosilcu. Pri merjenju nateznih deformacij se pojavi težava v primeru čiste osne obremenitve, saj so rezultirajoče deformacije razmeroma majhne. Za namen merjenja tovrstnih deformacij smo preučili uporabo različnih merilnih lističev. Poleg tega smo raziskali možnosti modifikacije prereza nosilca na mestu merjenja deformacij, preko katerih bi povečali deformacije sistema. Na podlagi teoretičnih izračunov deformacij in upoštevanja omejitev, ki so se pri posameznih rešitvah pojavile, smo z vidika ustreznosti ovrednotili različne koncepte merjenja. Za najprimernejšo se je izkazala metoda določanja notranje osne sile na osnovi meritev upogibnih deformacij namensko izdelanega merilnega elementa, ki se ga namesti na želeno mesto merjenja osne sile. Razvoj namensko izdelanega merilnega elementa je temeljil na analitičnih in numeričnih preračunih deformacij, sama validacija koncepta pa je bila izvedena na osnovi izmerjenih deformacij na laboratorijskem nosilcu.

Title:Measurement of internal axial force in a beam using strain gauges
Abstract:
In this diploma thesis, we studied the possibility of measuring the internal forces and moments in a beam. When measuring the strain caused by pure axial loading, we encounter the problem of relatively small deformations that are difficult to measure using strain gauges. Therefore, we analyzed the suitability of different types of strain gauges. Moreover, we examined the possibility of beam section modification in order to increase the deformation at the measuring location. On the basis of the analytical and numerical calculations of the deformations we developed different shapes of measuring cells. The method of determining internal axial force through the bending deformations proved to be the most suitable for our application. We validated the chosen concept by measuring deformation in the laboratory beam and compare the results using the numerical calculations.
