Extremely favorable nature resources of the Vipava Valley enable intensive agriculture to be developed, but in recent years it has been heavily exposed to various extreme weather events that cause a great deal of damege. Frost, droughts, floods and high winds are the most dangerous for agriculture and require farmers to adapt well. In my final seminar paper I tried to find out the awareness, the level of adaptation and the farmers` action on the accurrence of the extreme weather events. Some farmers are aware of the danger and are trying to adapt in different ways to protect the annual crop. However, there are many external factors that inhibit farmers`adjustments, thereby increasing agricultural exposure.
