Use of web apps has become an everyday thing as they offer us communication with the outside world. Too many web apps are poorly optimized for slow and unreliable networks, to offer satisfactory user experience. At the same time, they are poorly optimized for mobile usage, which has become the main device for many users across the world. In my thesis I will present the concept of progressive web apps. This are web apps, optimized for unreliable network. They can also be installed on every device, that supports standardized web browsers. I shall present this with development of a demo web app and comparison of result from two kinds of development (user experience): PWA and classic web app.
