Pričujoče delo obravnava katoliško in theravada budistično antropologijo. Poudarek sloni na odgovoru na vprašanje »Kdo je človek tu in zdaj?« Ker odgovor brez upoštevanja še bolj temeljnih vidikov ni mogoč, se vanj pritegne tudi splošne poglede na resničnost, naj bo to Bog v katolištvu ali nestalnost v budizmu. Kolikor se je zdelo primerno, pa se delo dotika tudi vprašanja izvora in konca človeka. Po samostojni obravnavi obeh religij sledi primerjava.

• Title: The comparison of Catholic and Theravada Buddhist anthropology

Abstract

This work discusses the anthropology of Catholicism and Theravada Buddhism. It focuses on providing the answer to the question “Who is man here and now?” Since the answer cannot be given without considering even more fundamental aspects, some general views on reality are also taken into account – be it God in Catholicism or impermanence in Buddhism. To the extent deemed appropriate, the work also considers the questions of the origin and the end of man. Individual analyses of the two religions are followed by a comparison.
