Abstract

Title:Laser cladding of aluminium alloy AlSi12CuNiMg with ceramic constituents
Abstract:
Aluminium is a light and soft metal which is not wear resistant. In this final paper, we consolidated the aluminium alloy on the surface with ceramic constituents by laser cladding. We measured the thickness of cladding layer and melted zone, the achieved hardness in the modified surface layer, the residual and shear stresses on the surface of cladding layer. We achieved the consolidation of the surface layer. Its hardness and wear resistance increased, while residual and shear stresses were negligible after the laser treatment.
