Abstract
Nizkoogljična jekla so jekla s slabšimi mehanskimi lastnostmi. Delo zajema teoretične osnove, kjer so opisani postopki laserskih površinskih obdelav. V eksperimentalnem delu je predstavljeno oplaščanje nizkoogljičnega jekla C10 s TiC z Nd:YAG laserjem. Opisani so postopki merjenja mikrotrdote in zaostalih napetosti.

Title:Laser cladding of low carbon steel with TiC
Abstract:
Low carbon steels are steels with weak mechanical properties. Their hardness is low, as the main microstructure composition is ferrite. To improve their wear and corrosion properties and to increase hardness, we use various ceramic coatings. Using these coatings, however, we can make a solid and wear-resistant machine part at a relatively low cost. The work covers theoretical basics of laser surface treatment procedures. The experimental work presents coating of low carbon steel C10 with TiC done by Nd:YAG laser. Procedures for measuring microhardness and residual stresses are described. Work also covers the analysis of the microstructure and its effect on the microhardness, and the extent to which the power of the laser affects the depth of the treated surface and its hardness. We have discovered that low carbon steel is suitable for TiC coating.
