Abstract
V diplomskem delu bom obravnavala zemljevid v umetnosti.

Title:Mapping personal landscapes
Abstract:
In my Bachelor’s thesis I will discuss the map in art. I will explore the origins of mapping in general and analyze the use of cartography in selected artworks, both historical and contemporary. I will concentrate on the map as a theme in my work, where I combine different cartographic elements to create new images of experienced places. These images then serve as maps with which I can orientate through memories of events and scenes of selected landscapes. Individual elements of the paintings are selected based on their associations with specific landscapes. Each component represents an event or a scene. Together, they form an almost unrecognizable map of a selected place. The paintings are a continuation of a two-year exploration of cartography in painting.
