Pripoved o vrtu v slikanici brez besed

V diplomski nalogi obravnavam slikanico brez besed in njene zmožnosti pripovedovanja skozi ilustracijo. Analiziram primere slikanic, v katerih iščem posebnosti gradnje pripovedi. Definiram pojem vrta in raziščem njegov pomen v kulturi. Po Carlu Gustavu Jungu povzamem psihološke pojme, ki se navezujejo na praktični del moje naloge. V praktičnem delu izvedem serijo ilustracij, ki jih povežem v zgodbo o starki, ki skrbi za vrt, na podlagi izvedenih analiz opišem postopek ustvarjanja avtorske zgodbe ter likovno analiziram nastale ilustracije. Prikažem tudi izvedbo makete slikanice. Zgodba prikazuje odnos med starko in vrtom. Starka skrbi za vrt, ki predstavlja njeno nezavedno in je prav tako del starkine osebnosti, njeno delo v vrtu pa je poskus individuacije ter samospoznanja.

Abstract

The thesis studies a silent picture book and the storytelling abilities of its illustrations. I analyse other examples of silent books in which I look for specifics of how to build a story through nothing but illustration. I define the term “garden” and research its meaning in culture. I summarize psychological terms of Carl Gustav Jung that relate to the practical part of the thesis. In the practical part I draw a series of illustrations which I connect into a story of an old lady taking care of her garden. Based on the picture book analysis I describe the process of making an original story, analyse my illustrations and describe the making of the picture book model. The story of my picture book describes the relationship between the old lady and the garden she looks after. The garden represents her subconscious and is a part of her personality. The work she puts in the garden is an attempt of individuation and self awareness.
