The thesis presents and compares four public administration organizations and the satisfaction of their employees. Following organizations were selected for the comparison: Public Inter-municipal Housing Fund, City Municipality of Maribor, City Municipality of Ptuj and Administrative Unit of Ptuj. The purpose is to analyze the satisfaction of employees in selected public administration organizations. The goals are: to research and compare satisfaction of employees in selected public administration organizations, to find out which organization has the most satisfied employees, to study the satisfaction of employees and factors that have the most influence on it. We will also try to confirm our hypotheses, provide findings and suggestions for improving employee satisfaction.
In the empirical part of the thesis, an anonymous survey was conducted at selected public administration organizations. The aim of the research was to find out in which public administration organization the employees are most satisfied, are the employees more satisfied in organizations with more employees or with fewer employees and what could be changed in the organizations in order to increase satisfaction. The results of the survey showed that employees are most satisfied at the Maribor Inter-Municipal Housing Fund, which also stands out the most after analyzing the average values of satisfaction of internal and external factors. The results also showed that employees were more satisfied in the organizations with fewer employees. In order to increase satisfaction in all selected public administration organizations, organizations and their leaders could do the most in the field of on-going employee training and improving the quality of annual interviews.
