Abstract
Naloga opisuje realizacijo in razvoj ženske kolekcije oblačil z vključevanjem pouporabe krojev predhodne kolekcije. Moda sodeluje v interakciji med pozabljanjem in zavedanjem.

Title:Design of a contemporary women collection named Glamour on the street
Abstract:
The assignment describes the realization and the development of woman' clothing collection with implementing recycled cuts from previous collections. The theoretical part of the assignment speaks about the fashion of the 70s, more specifically about the fashion happening between the European and American culture with points about the various social and economic conditions that unintentionally led to the creation of different styles. The ideas explored create a creative platform of the aforementioned collection (its ambiance is captured through the styles of the famous Studio 54 disco club that was known for its elite guest list. The most notable icon of the club was Bianca Jagger who always wore clothing of known fashion designer and was one of Halstons regular customers who she was famous for being famous. Most of the research leans onto the notable and distinguishable silhouettes of the American designer Roy Frowick Halston who put the jet set of the 70s into his minimalist creations. My theoretical part talks more about how street fashion affected and inspired designers and how its influence is still felt in today’s fashion. Couture participates in the interaction of dismissal and admission of mind in which it always touches back onto its rich culture and history in a way that constantly recycles said history. The sustainable principle of the fashion industry depicts the different relationships of the user so it constantly visually changes, most of the time with different techniques of modelling. In the empirical part I show the development of two modern woman's collections. The first on came into existence with the research of the clothing elements of the 1970s, the second one took shape with the reprocessing (salvaging) of the predecessor into a new clothing item. It shows the whole process of creation from inspiration, sketches of the materials and colours, technical sketches going all the way to the final product. I best describe it as some sort of fashion with a sustainable point of view.
