Abstract
Uvodoma so predstavljene teorije sodobnega (postdramskega) gledališča, dosedanje delo avtorice, splošne vsebinske značilnosti njenih del in posebnosti njene (ne več?) dramske pisave.

Title:Those who devour and those who are devoured: An analysis of the social criticism and the dramatic form in Simona Semenič’s the feast
Abstract:
The undergraduate thesis analyzes the content and form of the text the feast or the story of a savory corpse or how roman abramovič, the character janša, julia kristeva, age 24, simona semenič and the initials z. i. found themselves in a tiny cloud of tobacco smoke by Simona Semenič. Firstly, we introduce the theories of contemporary (post-dramatic) theater, the general content features of Semenič’s works and the special features of her (no longer?) dramatic scripts. Then, on the basis of the analysis of the selected text, we evaluate the extent to which it can be classified as "no longer dramatic text" (Poschmann) and put in the field of "post-dramatic theater" (Lehmann). Furthermore, we highlight the feast in the light of the mediatized society of the spectacle (Auslander, Debord) at the time of mass media supremacy. We try to find out to what extent the text reflects the characteristics of this time and how it is parodied or even criticized. This also results in a strong influence on the viewer / reader, whom the author directs through the character of the narrator all the time directly, therefore the diploma work is concluded with a thorough review of the ethical dimensions of the text. Therefore, the purpose of this undergraduate thesis is to analyze Simona Semenič's (no longer?) dramatic form, the specifics of her style of writing and building the text, and to confirm the thesis that the text the feast can no longer be classified as (traditional) drama text; and on the other hand, from a sociological point of view, to analyze the themes and motives that appear (more or less obviously) in the text, and explain the author's methods, with which she emphasizes the ethical and moral responsibility of the involved (especially readers / viewers) in the events. At the same time, throughout the analysis we prove that the feast is one of the most radical, special and intriguing texts by Simone Semenič.
