Abstract

Title:Synthesis of fluorophores with a 4-aminobiphenyl skeleton
Abstract:
Based on previous research on molecular probes with favorable optical and binding properties towards protein tau, we designed and using classic and modern synthetic methods prepared new molecules with different electron-accepting groups. Free flow of electrons from electron-donating to electron-accepting groups in new compounds promises good optical properties for fluorescence microscopy, while side chain of the amine group offers an option to add radioactive fluorine-18, for use in positron emission tomography imaging.

Keywords:Synthesis, flurophores, 4-aminobiphenyl
