The thesis discusses the use of methods, concepts, approaches and knowledge on processes of help, that revolve within the social work with women that are addicted to illegal drugs and have experienced violence. Eight employees of the program Varna hiša za uživalke nedovoljenih drog, ki imajo izkušnjo nasilja Društva Stigma took part in the research. The analysis of the results of the research shows the introspection in a program, that is meant for women illicit drug users and the specialty of that work. It is shown, which knowledge and concepts of social work are used by the employees. It also shows which methods of social work the employees recognize as useful. The survey also explores the similarity and differences between the processes of help as it is described by formally educated social workers and other workers that don’t have the formal education of social work.
